Bullet Journal – March 2019
The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is a play by William Shakespeare based on historical events of Ancient Rome.
I chose this play for this month in my journal because of the Ides of March known as the day to settle debts for the Romans. It is also the day when Julius Caesar was assassinated, when he paid the price.
Julius Caesar was never an emperor. He was declared dictator by the senate. He was a military general. The only crown Caesar wore was the laurel wreath for his victories.
I drew a gladius with a laurel wreath and wrote Martii for March.
I kept this month minimal and undated. For the weekly, I wanted to represent the toga that the senate wore and the columns.
I hope this theme inspired you to read the play and learn more about the Roman history.
