25 Days of Christmas – Support Non-Profit Organizations
The holiday season is the season of giving. You can participate in some of the organization by supporting them thru their activities.
The Giving Tree is to Sisters of Life’s mission. Their works include: mission to vulnerable pregnant women, hope and healing, retreat mission, life and love. For more info visit www.sistersoflife.org
To participate, pick an ornament, buy the gift that’s on the ornament, place the gift unwrapped under the tree the put the ornament on your tree at home as a reminder of your generosity. I took two ornaments and ordered the items online. Shopping is always fun! This tree is in St. Ann in Flushing, Queens, New York.
Another way to support an organization is by attending their holiday events. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 2347 sponsored a bake sale at Mary’s Nativity in Flushing, Queens, New York.
The members home baked some delicious cakes and cookies.
The holiday is the best time for baked goods. Check out the festive cookies and cupcakes.
I managed to snag a whole cake for $8. Very delicious upside down pineapple cake that my family devoured.
I also had the pleasure of speaking to some of the members of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. I do hope to meet with them again. It’s amazing to learn so much from them about my neighborhood. How great is to learn that my doctor’s parents were their doctors.
Check out your local parish for events and take advantage of this time of the year and attend some of the events that are happening. It is a great way to learn about your community, meet people and also give back.
The holiday season is a great time to show your support to your local non-profit organization. The events and the activities they host are a great way for us to give. We have about a week left before Christmas and we have been so busy with so many different events.
We are continuing to work hard at Enchanting Lifestyle to bring you guys 25 days of Christmas.
I hope this inspires you to go and check out events in your community.
