25 Days of Christmas – Console Table Setup Christmas Village and other Decor
Traditionally, a Christmas village is placed under the Christmas tree. It started with a Nativity scene and overtime became elaborate with other buildings, roads, people, carriages, and animals.
Our Christmas village is a rustic winter land town with a Church, shops, a house, some people and tress. Reminds us of the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”
We’ve gone thru storage and took out some of the old miniature buildings for the Christmas village. Some have been recently purchased.
We wanted to have the traditional village setup by the window where we can easily look at the scene.
Christmas villages are so enchanting. The scene can pull you into their world. Imagine, walking down the street, white snow on the ground, greeting the people and entering the shops.
It is a tradition that we always enjoy.
As for the console table in the anteroom, we’ve let our interior designer do her job with the decorations we had left.
Our resourceful interior designer had some great ideas with the limited items we had. She used a scarf to cover the console table top and used a felt toy shopping basket and filled it with ornamental balls.
These decorations are a joy to look at. A light hearted feeling fills the room.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
